THE ROAD TO REDISCOVERY

Over the last couple of months, I have been aggressively engaged in a soul search with regards to content posting for this blog. At a point after I started this blog over 3 years ago, I felt lost and completely out of sync and focus. As if the Universe was trying to tell me to listen to my guts, my blog started messing up with distorted images wahala. I got really frustrated, discouraged and somewhat off-balance.

I wanted a lot of things for my blog which required breaking the bank a little, but that wasn't even the issue; I was beginning to doubt if I was really cut out for this whole blogging somtin (lol, I just had to use that word). Work was getting though, social demands were increasing and I'd just started school around the same time...I really love my sleep, for those who know me personally, and this was making me sick!
Also, I wanted my blog to be known for something unique and unprecedented. But what if I run out of creative stuff to write about at a point? And finally, I wanted a really clean professional looking blog, yet fancy and stylish enough to have people coming back. I even actually thought of creating a new fresh blog, with probably a different name and focus. But I decided against that; I have an impressive number of audience here, and I wasn't up for starting from scratch. If it's broken, why not fix it?

So I took a really long break to just chill out, find my focus and decide if I really wanted to continue doing this. I read a whole lot during that time; finding new writers, studying their style and focus and just generally putting my thoughts together. I also spoke with quiet a few friends who kept encouraging me to go back! Thanks y'all, I appreciate the support.

So whilst in my hibernation and reassessment stage, I realized there was nothing really novel in this golden age of technology anymore. Every writer is virtually writing about the same stuff, be it news (political, style, technology) or just daily updates, but with different spin-offs and twists. You just have to find a CREATIVE twist to the same thing everyone else is writing about, and give it your best shot!!....Eureka! I found it !!! LOL.

So long story short, I'm back (no, not with a bang) but with a strong conviction to give this my best. I love fashion, food, travel and writing. So why not start there and see where this takes us, yes us, you and I, discovering this together through my obviously prejudiced lens, from behind my ramshackle desk.
